Collograph Printmaking Workshop

Collography is a method of printmaking using cardboard plates. It is essentially non-toxic and very versatile. This course will concentrate on the various stages involved; the making and preparation of the plate, the basic methods of building up and incising into the surface, and finally the inking, layering of colours and various methods of registration and printing.

Demonstrations will be given as well as individual instruction. Each student will be afforded the opportunity to explore new and innovative possibilities. Emphasis will be on experimentation as well as a solid understanding of the fundamental techniques.
